Auburn Police have identified a suspect in the alleged stabbing of three people. Police say Jon Hewitt, of Auburn, was found Saturday afternoon near the Mill Street dam, where they say three people were stabbed.
Authorities say Hewitt got into an argument with one of the victims and threatened to stab him, before pulling out a knife. One of the alleged victims suffered a stab wound to the chest, another was cut deeply on his hand, and the third suffered only a minor injury. Police say none of the injuries are life threatening.
Hewlitt is charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
Auburn Police are in the initial stages of the investigation of a stabbing on Saturday afternoon.
According to APD, police were called to the area around the Mill St. dam around 1:30 pm for a report of multiple victims being stabbed. None of the injuries are considered life threatening.
