There will be plenty of juicy New York State Apples to bite into this fall . The New York Apple Associations says 28 million bushels or 1.1 billion pounds of apples are expected to be picked . First year Association President Cynthia Haskins tells Finger Lakes News Radio harvest is in high gear now.
Haskins says two new apples developed at the Experiment Station in Geneva are getting strong reviews. The RubyFrost and SnapDragon varieties are currently only grown in New York.
