William Joseph Rabuano, 36, of Auburn, passed away early Saturday morning, Oct. 7, 2017.
He was a life resident of Auburn, the son of Joseph and Patricia Curry Rabuano. Bill was an Auburn High School graduate, class of 1999 and received his bachelor’s degree from Cazenovia College in history. Bill was a standout lacrosse player both for the Maroons and Wildcats, receiving several awards and records during his career. He attributed his success to the great coaches he had especially, Steve Crosby and Matt Smith.
Bill had been currently employed as a corrections officer at Cayuga Correctional Facility in Moravia. He previously worked for several years at Fox Honda as a salesman. Bill was an avid Syracuse lacrosse and New York Giants football fan. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and especially, the love of his life, his fiancée, Mandy Musso.
William was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Henry and Ethel Curry, and his paternal grandparents, Nicholas and Josephine Rabuano.
Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at 10:30 a.m. this Friday in St. Mary’s Church for William’s Mass of Christian burial. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Pettigrass Funeral Home, 196 Genesee St., Auburn.
