The investigation into the death of a parole officer in Canandaigua continues. The Finger Lakes Times reports officers arrived to an apartment complex Wednesday to check on the status of 48-year-old Sandra Guardiola.
After getting into the apartment, the unidentified police officer contacted 911 with reports of shots fired. Canandaigua Police Chief Stephen Hedworth is not saying whether Guardiola fired shots at the officer before she was shot, saying they don’t want to compromise the investigation.
The officer is now on paid administrative leave.
