Leonard Bianco, 88, the husband of the late Jeanette Lambert Bianco of Dunning Avenue, Auburn, died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017 in Auburn Community Hospital. Born in Auburn, Leonard was a U.S. Army Veteran and retired as a truck driver. He was a loving family man and through the years, a father of many, many foster children. He was a firm believer in, and proud of the Second Amendment, and enjoyed motorcycles and collecting firearms.
He is survived by three sons, Robert Bianco and his wife Joni of IA, Mark J. Bianco and his wife Khalisa of Savannah and Joseph Bianco of Auburn; 10 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; countless foster children; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Jeanette, Leonard was predeceased by a son Mark A. Bianco and several brothers and sisters.
Friends are invited to join the family for a Mass of Christian Burial to be offered at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 2, 2017 in St. Mary’s Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, where full Military Honors will be accorded. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Cheche Funeral Home Inc., 1778 Clark Street Road.
