Elsie O’Connors, 92, passed away, Sunday, (October 1, 2017) in Seneca Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Friends and family are invited to call Thursday, (October 5) from 5 – 7 p.m. at Mull Funeral Home, 113 Virginia Street, Waterloo. A grave side service will be Friday, (October 6) at 2:00 p.m., in the Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Romulus.
Elsie requested memorial contributions be directed to Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 6632 NYS Route 96A, Romulus, NY 14541.
Elsie was born in Kansas City, Kan. on September 19, 1925 the daughter of the late James M. and Opel L. Kepler. She worked at the Veterans Hospital in Canandaigua were she also received her nursing training. Elsie then went to work at Taylor Brown Memorial Hospital, Waterloo. Besides her family Elsie’s biggest and most rewarding joy was caring for people.
She was a past president of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Post 6433 in Waterloo.
Elsie is survived by her sons James (Michaelene), John (Cheri) O’Connors, both of Waterloo and Charles (Larissa) O’Connors of Texas; a brother, Edgar Kepler of Kansas; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold who passed away April 4, 1997; sisters Anna Bell and Opel; brothers Peter and James.
