On Friday, September 22, 2017, at 11:58 pm, the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department responded to the report of a personal vehicle motor vehicle accident on Clinton Street in the Town of Seneca Falls. It was reported the vehicle had gone off the road, struck a tree. Upon arriving, the driver of the vehicle, Catherine M. Cornett, age 60, of Seneca Falls was located in the driver’s seat and reported minor injuries. North Seneca Ambulance responded to the scene and transported Cornett to Geneva General Hospital for her injuries. The subsequent investigation from the accident found that Cornett was driving the vehicle while in an intoxicated. Cornett was issued tickets for Driving While Intoxicated. Cornett was released and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court on 10/26/2017, at 10:00 am to answer to the charges. The Seneca Falls Fire Department also assisted on the scene.
