The water in Canandaigua Lake is improving. The Daily Messenger reports tests this week showed the water is clear, and no signs of algal blooms. Earlier this week, samples revealed an amount of blue-green algae.
Kevin Olvany, with the Canandaigua Lake Watershed Program, tells the paper wind may have broken up any concentrations, which were found in the east side of the lake. Olvany says conditions can change quickly, so folks should look for blue-green algae before going into the water.
