The 78 year old New Jersey man accused of hitting and seriously injuring a State Trooper in an accident on Interstate 86 earlier this year pleaded guilty to all charges he faced in Campbell Town Court Monday.
Kenneth Aukett was ticketed for reckless driving, failure to move over and yield to an emergency vehicle and failure to reduce speed for the May 17th accident that seriously injured Trooper Craig Foglia. Foglia had pulled over a vehicle for speeding in the westbound lanes and was sitting in his trooper car parked on the shoulder of the highway when his car was hit from behind by Aukett’s pick-up truck at full-highway speed. He was released from Strong Memorial Hospital in mid-July.
Aukett’s sentence included having his license suspended in New York and paying fines of almost 8-HUNDRED dollars.
