Rose Saracino, 92, passed away Friday morning, (September 8, 2017) in Geneva General Hospital.
A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, (September 15) at 10 a.m. at Saint Mary’s Church, Waterloo. Burial will follow in Saint Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls.
Rose requested memorial contributions be directed to; Beverly Animal Shelter, 50 East River Street, Waterloo, NY 13165.
Rose was born on March 19, 1925 in Waterloo the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Sabatine) DeClemente. For over 50 years Rose worked as a hairdresser out of her home on Rumsey Street, Seneca Falls. She was a member of Saint Mary’s Faith Community, Rumseyville and the Guild and Altar Society.
She is survived by her son, John (Tracey) Izzo of Phoenix Ariz.; her daughter, Marianne (Herbert) Meyer of Waterloo; grandchildren Anna Meyer of Oregon, John Meyer of Waterloo and Tori (Luke) Medlock of Florida; brothers Joseph (Janet) DeClemente of Springfield, Va.; several nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart; several cousins; Frank’s children; Mary (Jane Butz) Saracino of Col., Theresa (Linda Gensheimer) Saracino of Minn., Margaret “Peg” (Steve) Southerland of Minn.; David (Mary Alice) Saracino of Newark, Steve (Ilene) Saracino of Buffalo; Michael (Maggie) Saracino of New Hampshire and Peter (Joanne) Saracino of Phelps.
Rose was predeceased by her first husband, John Izzo who passed away December 27, 1965; her second husband, Francis A. (Frank) Saracino who passed away July 15, 2016; her sisters and brothers-in-law Regina (Raymond) Catanise and Victoria (Peter) Vacca; her brother and sister-in-law Armond (Eleanor) DeClemente; her beloved dog, Tippy.
