Petar “Peter” Ante Martic, age 79, father of Katarina (Nathan)Robson, passed away peacefully in Hall, N.Y. on August 31, 2017.
A private family Funeral Service was held at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham, N.Y. He was laid to rest at Little Church Cemetery, Town of Seneca, Ontario County, N.Y.

Petar was born July 6, 1938 and raised in Split, Croatia (former Yugoslavia). He was a graduate of Oklahoma State University, with a Master’s Degree in Chemistry; a distinguished chemist at Eastman Kodak, with numerous patents to his credit; an Adjunct Professor of Chemistry at R.I.T.; a Translator for NATO; an accomplished cellist, where his musical talents were shared with the Greece Symphony Orchestra and Our Lady Queen of Peace Church.
Petar is survived by three daughters Bosiljka Marija (Carlos DeNobrega) Martic of Rochester, Karla (Senad) Strujo of Rochester, and Katarina (Nathan) Robson of Hall; their mother, Fimka M. Jevremovic Martic Cooley of Rochester; eight grandchildren Ana Viktorija, Jasmina Razija, Adem Tarik, Goran Petar, Mia Elena, Aleksandar Charles, Milena Elizabeta and Luka Ante; his older sister, Nadja Zelic, of Croatia; one niece, Vana (Drazen) Gudic of Croatia; and nephew, Srdan Zelic of Croatia.
