As struggles continue on how to handle North Korea’s nuclear weapons and missile advances, the White House and Congress considered a more aggressive approach toward China and its trade with the United States. Congressman Tom Reed says he supports massive sanctions being imposed.
Reed says the sanctions are very serious, as is the ongoing threat from North Korea.
The UN Security Council unanimously approved new sanctions against North Korea Monday, but they stopped short of what the Trump Administration originally wanted, a total ban on oil imports to North Korea. But, to win support of China and Russia, the final resolution only caps the amount of crude oil that can be imported into North Korea
