On Friday, September 8, 2017, at 7:25 pm, the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Jessica A. Scott, age 32, of Waterloo, NY and Guy S. Johnson, age 55, of Seneca Falls, NY for petit larceny and endangering the welfare of a child following a complaint of a larceny at a local business. Both Scott and Johnson stole merchandise from the Wal-Mart Supercenter. The endangering charge for both Scott and Johnson stem from performing the act while there was a 3 year old child with them. Scott and Johnson were arraigned in the Town of Seneca Falls Court and committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility. Scott was remanded on $250 cash/$500 bond. Johnson was remanded on $500 cash/$1,000 bond. Scott is scheduled to re-appear in town court on 10/05/2017 at 5:30pm. Johnson is scheduled to re-appear in town court on 10/11/2017 at 9:00 am.
During the incident, it was discovered that Scott had an active bench warrant out of the Town of Seneca Falls Court that was issued on 07/06/2017 for failure to appear on the original charge of petit larceny. Scott was also arraigned on that warrant and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $250 cash/ $500 bond. She is scheduled to re-appear on 10/05/2017 at 5:30 pm. The child was turned over to a relative during the incident.
