On 9/7/17 at 5:42pm, Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the intersection of County Road 28 and Shortsville Road in the Town of Farmington for a two vehicle personal injury accident. After investigation, it was determined that a Honda Pilot being operated by Joseph Schneeman of Walworth was traveling northbound on County Road 28 and a Subaru Legacy being operated by Marsha Mikuszewski of Adams, MA was traveling eastbound on Shortsville Road. The investigation determined that Mikuszewski failed to yield right of way at the stop sign on Shortsville Road at the intersection of County Road 28. Mikuszewski was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital by LifeNet. Schneeman was transported to FF Thompson hospital by Shortsville EMS. Both drivers sustained non-life threatening injuries. Mikuszewski was issued a traffic citation for failure to yield the right of way at a stop sign and she will answer to her charge at a later date.
