Charles A. Eggleston, 91, of Weedsport, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017 at The Commons on St. Anthony.
The son of the late John and Grace Dix Eggleston, Charles was born in the town of Tompkins on Sept. 23, 1925.
He proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy during the Second World War. He had been employed as a setup technician for over 33 years, with Chrysler Corporation of Syracuse. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed both hunting and fishing, as well as golf and bowling.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Eggleston was predeceased by his stepfather, Ken Signor; two daughters, Bonnie Meyers Harelick, Charlene Empie Anthony; three sisters, Lillian Lesky, Alice VanDusen, and Mary Fagan; and a stepsister, Julia Signor.
Funeral services with Military Honors will be held Saturday, Sept. 9, in White Chapel Funeral Home, 2719 Erie Drive, Weedsport.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Eggleston may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Central NY Chapter, 441 W. Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13204.
