From the Penn Yan Police Department:
34 year old Jesse Garlick, of Penn Yan, was arrested by Penn Yan Police Tuesday after receiving a 911 call Garlick was operating a vehicle in an intoxicated condition.
Police did observe Garlick operating an unregistered motor vehicle on Kimball Avenue and initiated a traffic stop. Upon interviewing Garlick on scene, police observed impairment and signs of intoxication. Garlick did fail field sobriety test at the scene and was transported to Yates County Jail for a chemical breath test, which revealed a blood alcohol content over twice the legal limit. Garlick was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI .18% or higher, unlicensed operation and unregistered motor vehicle.
Garlick was arraigned in Penn Yan Village Court and was remanded to the custody of the Yates County Jail on $250 bail or $500 property bond.
