Donald Patrick Horan, 75, of Union Springs, passed away on Sept. 1, 2017 at Strong Memorial Hospital.
He was the son of the late John Clinton and Anna Marie Cummings Horan. Donald was a dedicated technology teacher for 36 years in the Auburn school district. He also enjoyed teaching driver education in Auburn and Waterloo. He was a loving husband and caring father. Donald loved to play the game of golf anywhere but especially at Wells College, but his favorite past-time was to take his two dogs Harley and Hope for walks.
He is survived by his wife, Mary “Monnie” Horan, of Union Springs; son, John Patrick Horan and Sally Cukierski, of Orchard Park; daughter, Cheryl Young and her husband, William, of Carmel; grandson, Thomas Young; two sisters, Margaret Ginn, of Corry, Pennsylvania, and Carol Patterson and her husband, William, of Cayuga; special friend, Mark Hudson of Union Springs; dogs, Harley and Hope; horse, Lexi; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday Sept. 6, 2017 at Brew Funeral Home, 48 South St., Auburn.
A mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday Sept. 7, 2017 at St. Mary Church, 15 Clark St., Auburn.
