In Friday night action, in a game you heard on WFLR, Penn Yan pounded Pal-MAc, 60-0; and in a game you heard at finger lakes daily news dot com, Bushop Ludden doubled up Weedsport, 54-27. Elsewhere, Marcus Whitman nipped South Seneca/Romulus, 38-36; ER/Gananda trounced Newark, 47-7; Victor got by Aquinas, 28-24; HF-L downed Monroe, 29-6; Skaneateles smoked Jordan Elbridge, 59-13; and Sandy Creek tripped up Cato-Meridian, 35-22. We’ve got plenty more on tap for today, as Dundee takes on Lyons at 1 on WFLR, Geneva squares off against Wayne at 5 on WGVA, and Auburn meets Ithaca at the Carrier Dome at 8 on WAUB.
In boys soccer, Bloomfield blanked South Seneca/Romulus, 9-0; Wheatland-Chili nipped Gananda, 2-1; Sodus all over Vertus, 12-0; and Wayne and Greece Olympia played to a 1-1 tie.
On the girls side, Greece Athena clobbered Canandaigua, 5-0; Honeoye bested Geneva, 5-2; Midlakes over Newark, 4-2; Marion trebled Greece Odyssey, 3-1; Mynderse coasted by Red Creek, 6-2; Pal-Mac edged Livonia, 2-1; Wayne whitewashed RFA, 3-0; and Victor and Hilton played to a 1-1 draw.
The Auburn Doubledays fell to West Virginia last night, 8-6; same two back at it at 6:05 on WAUB.
