Effective Communication Strategies

Join the Alzheimer’s Association at Seymour Library on Wednesday, September 20 at 2 pm, for Effective Communication Strategies. Explore how communication takes place when someone has Alzheimer’s, learn to decode the verbal and behavioral messages delivered by someone with dementia, and identify strategies to help you connect and communicate at each stage of the disease. Financing Your Education
The New York State Department of Financial Services will be running a one hour workshop, Financing Your Education, on Tuesday September 12 at 6 pm at Seymour Library. The workshop will include a presentation, Q&A session and helpful brochures and takeaways on filling out the FAFSA, grants, scholarships, types of loans, determining the amount of aid you qualify for and helpful New York State programs. This program is for high school juniors/seniors and their families.
