It was built for talking picture pioneer Theodore Case and over the decades has been a monastery and the original home of Unity House. Now, Auburn’s historic Case Mansion is poised to take on a new mission as the Presbyterian Event and Retreat Center.
Bill Flynn with the First Presbyterian Church tells Finger Lakes News Radio the congregation is glad to see the mansion spruced up for it’s new role.
As the name suggests, the South Street mansion will serve as an event center as well as a spiritual retreat.
The center opens its doors after Labor Day, but there is a ribbon cutting ceremony followed by tours and refreshments Tuesday afternoon at 4:00 pm, and all are welcome.
