Harold R. “”Lucky”” Lytle age 100 died peacefully on Thursday (August 24, 2017) at Geneva General Hospital.
There will be no prior calling hours or services.

Lucky was born on March 17, 1917 in Geneva NY the son of the late Foster and Margaret Ross Lytle. He was a Marine veteran of WWII. He was a member of the Phelps American Legion. Lucky was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a true outdoorsman. He also loved to watch horse racing. In his younger years, Lucky was a Golden Gloves Boxer. He played in the State league championship for baseball in 1948 and was in the league bowling championships in 1958. He spent his summers in the 1000 Islands as his second home. He will be sadly missed.
He is survived by two daughters Peg (Abe) VanHanegen of Clifton Springs, Judy Lytle-Lyday of Wayland. Grandchildren Mary (Charles) Angelo, Lorie (Joe) Lytle-Maines, Dan (Ellen Jacobson) Hayden, Michael (Leslie) Lytle, Kevin (Bridget) Lytle, Eric Lyday Kimberly (Patti Carey) Lyday; Step-children Vicki (David) Manko, John (Rebecca Pollot) VanHanegen, Leigh (Mike) Wellman; ten great-grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren; several cousins, nieces, nephews, and many good friends.
He was predeceased by is wife Mary (Reed) Lytle, brother Leon Lytle and granddaughter Karen Lytle Lyday.
Funeral arrangements have been made with Cheney Funeral Home 70 Main Street Phelps.
