Mrs. Marion H. VanBlarcum, 94, of 260 W. North St. passed away unexpectedly on Monday, (August 21, 2017) in her home.
There will be no prior calling hours.
Funeral Services will be at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, (August 26, 2017) in the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home and a Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2017, in St. Stephen’s Church. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions, in her memory, may be made to St. Francis/St. Stephen’s School education fund.
Marion was born on September 26, 1922 in Geneva, the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Fleming Hurley. She was a graduate of DeSales High School, Class of 1941. Marion worked for the New York Telephone Co. for 30 years retiring in 1975. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish.
She is survived by her two grandsons Joseph (Joanne) Bruno and Richard Jr. (Jami) Bruno; great grandchildren Richard J. Bruno III, Ella Bruno and Jonathan Mullins; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harold VanBlarcum, her daughter and son-in-law Suzanne and Richard Bruno; her brother, Robert Hurley; three sisters Dorothy Ingram, Rita O’Donnell and Agnes Buttaccio.
