Harold W. “Cherry” Lind, 92 formerly of Daniels St. passed away Monday (August 21,2017) at Huntington Living Center. A celebration of Cherry’s life will be Saturday,(August 26, 2017), at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Seneca Falls with Rev. Val White officiating. Cherry was born in Seneca Falls the son of William and Lydia Scheuerman Lind on April 19, 1925. He was a life resident of Seneca Falls. He retired form Gould’s Pump in 1988 after over 43 years of service. Served in the United States Army as a Lt. and pilot from 1944-46. Cherry was an avid flyer and golfer scoring a hole in one at the age of seventy. A member of the Seneca Follies and Seneca Singers and a member of the church choir where he was a life member. Also a member of the Kirk Casey American Legion Post 911, Seneca Falls. A past member of the Seneca Falls Country Club. His wife, Ruth Marie Lind passed away in 2015 after 66 years of marriage.
Survived by a son, Steven (Charlotte B.) Lind of Seneca Falls and a daughter, Patricia (Mark Ayers) Davis of Greece, N.Y. Sister, Irene DeLrusso of Rochester. Three grandchildren Sarah Voelkl, Christina Pagano and Wendy Romney. 5 great grandchildren: Madelyn, Elisabeth, Juliette, Jackson and Charles. Several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased besides his wife is a sister, Joyce Blake and 3 brothers: Leslie, Roland and Howard.
