It was a mix of business and ceremony at Tuesday’s meeting of the Auburn School Board. Sixteen high school students received their diplomas after completing summer classes.

On the business side, the school board formally approved the property tax rate for the upcoming school year. The 3.98% tax levy approved by voters in May will result in an increase of 62 cents per $1000 of assessed home value over last year’s rate.
