Join Monday’s Eclipse Party!
Hosted by the Departments of Physics and Geoscience. Monday 21 August noon to 4 p.m. on the Scandling Patio (behind the Scandling Center) on the Hobart & William Smith campus.
Bring a picnic and enjoy a live stream of the NASA balloon images of totality from all across North America [http://eclipse.stream.live].
View the partial eclipse live with specially-equipped telescopes, binoculars and eclipse glasses, interpreted by Prof. of Physics Leslie Hebb and Prof. of Geoscience David Kendrick.
Children of all ages can make pin-hole cameras to safely project images of the sun during the eclipse. The eclipse itself begins at 1:15 p.m. and ends at 3:53 p.m.
