Laura Arnold, 68, of Victory, passed away Friday, Aug. 11, 2017 at her home in Victory surrounded by her loving family. Laura was born in Solvay, the daughter of the late George Hawkey and Ellen Shields Hawkey. Before her retirement she was employed at Deluxe Check Printers in Liverpool. She enjoyed camping, bingo and slots at the casino, crosswords, cross stitching, reading scary books and spending time at her camp in Henderson. She especially enjoyed Halloween, and most of all spending time with her grandkids.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Arnold; a daughter, Michelle (Kevin) Gillespie, of Red Creek; five sisters: Ellen Squire, of Weedsport, Nancy Steves, of Canastota, Patricia (Herbie) Forbes, of Weedsport, Chick (Kevin) Elsworth, of New Jersey and Beatrice (Ronald) Skellington, of Weedsport; three grandchildren, Sarah Cartwright, Hannah Cartwright and Steven Gillespie; her dog Annie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Laura is predeceased by a daughter, Cherie Cartwright Pascal (2014).
Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, at the Keysor-Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, at the funeral home, and burial will follow at the Victory Union Cemetery.
