John J. Skowron, 58, of Moravia, passed away Monday, Aug. 7, 2017 at Upstate University Medical Center, after a hard-fought battle against cancer for many years. John was born in Auburn on June 24, 1959, the son of the late Theodore W. “Baldy” Skowron Sr. and A. Marie Major Skowron. He was a graduate of Auburn High School, class of 1977. John was employed for many years as a truck driver with Kubis Auto Parts.
Those who knew John knew he had a wonderful sense of humor; a smile came easily to his lips. He loved adventure, riding motorcycles and skydiving, and his strength of character and love for his family and friends always showed through.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South St., Auburn, with burial to follow in Fort Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
