Yates County Attorney Scott Falvey tells the Chronicle Express State Supreme Court Judge John Ark has reserved decision in complaints against petitions filed by Yates County District Attorney candidate Todd Casella.
Resident Penepole Marchionda objected to the current Steuben County ADA’s Reform, Independence and Republican party petitions. The Yates County Board of Elections Commissioners ruled in favor of Marchionda’s objections to Casella’s Reform and Independence petitions, but did not rule on the GOP objection. Casella is requesting Ark overrule the decision on his petitions, while Marchionda is asking the judge to rule on the validity of Casella’s Republican petitions.
Casella hopes to appear on the primary ballot next month against current District Attorney Valerie Gardner.
