Memorial contributions may be made, in lieu of flowers, to Ontario-Yates Hospice 756 Pre-Emption Rd. Geneva, NY 14456.
Wendi was born on January 25, 1960 in Columbus, Ohio. She had a passion for caring for the terminal and the elderly from a young age. Wendi began her medical career as a Candy Striper and graduated from Marion S. Whelan, a prestigious nursing school, third in her class as an L.P.N. in the early 80’s. Wendi had many heartfelt passions. She had a love for her children and would “adopt” neighborhood children who were less fortunate. She also had a deep love for animals and adopted rescues. Wendi loved the outdoors and spent her summers camping and fishing. She was also very well-traveled, as her father was a lifelong enlisted member of the Army.
Wendi is survived by her husband of 38 years, Ricky B. Becker of Geneva; her children Staci (Rob) Braungart-Fry of Seneca Falls, and Sean Becker of Geneva; six grandchildren; brothers “Chip” (Shelly) Norman and John (Heather) Norman, both of Ohio; 12 nieces and nephews; and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Dow Donald Norman and Sandra Sue (née Sauders) Norman of Ohio; and her brother, Steven “Alex” Norman of Ohio.
Arrangements are being handled by the McGuigan & Bero Funeral Home.
