Todd Casella, the Steuben County resident running for Yates County District Attorney, has been ordered to appear before Supreme Court Justice John Ark in Rochester next Monday.
Casella is being asked to bring documentation of his connection to two addresses in Steuben County, which he in sworn filings with the State and Yates County Board of Elections, claimed were his personal residence. The addresses in question were different residences than the third Steuben County personal residence Casella claimed on his filed Republican designating petition, with one alleged to be a vacant lot.
Last week, the Yates County Board of Elections ruled designating petitions on three party lines filed by Casella either invalid or null and void. Penelope Marchionda, a member of the Yates County Republican Committee, filed suit late last week requesting Casella be pulled from the Republican line in the September 12th primary, where he is set to take on incumbent DA Valerie Gardner.
