The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Fri 7-21-17 at about 1:40 pm Deputies were called to an address on McCulloch Rd Romulus in the Town of Varick for a 8 year old that had been injured. Sheriff’s Deputies report that Wilmer Zimmerman of 5001 Kings Corners Rd Romulus, was caught between a John Deere “Gator” utility vehicle and a loaded hay wagon. Zimmerman was unresponsive at the scene and Sheriff’s Deputies , Fayette Fire and South Seneca Ambulance personnel performed CPR until Zimmerman was airlifted by LifeNet Helicopter to Upstate Hospital in Syracuse, where he secumbed to his injuries. Deputies report the investigation is continuing
