Waterloo Volunteer Fire Company Chief Mike Reese tells Finger Lakes News Radio the first units on the scene noticed a vapor cloud inside the milk plant.
Chief Reese adds a mutual aid call went out.
There were no reports of injuries or health problems relating to the vapor cloud.
Summit Milk Products on Swift St. in Waterloo was evacuated this morning after a tank containing a cleaning product overheated, sending steam throughout the milk production plant.
According to a Seneca County 9-1-1 dispatcher, hazmat units from Ontario and Wayne Counties assisted Waterloo firefighters.
