On Tuesday July 18, 2017, at 5:20 am, the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Railyn C. Rogers, age 21, and Matthew A. Williams, age 25, both of Seneca Falls following a noise complaint. Police originally responded after a civilian complained about a noise violation. Upon arrival officers discovered that the noise was due to a domestic dispute. Prior to police arriving on scene, Williams had already left. During the investigation, Rogers prevented officers from investigating the incident and then becoming physically hostile when being placed in custody. Williams was located near the scene and led officers on a foot pursuit before being taken into custody. Williams is also was physically violent with officers, obstructing them in performing their duties, and violating an order of protection . Rogers was charged with Obstructing Governmental Administration in the Second Degree and Resisting Arrest. Rogers was issued appearance tickets and will appear in the Seneca Falls Town Court on July 27, 2017, at 10:00 am. Williams was charged with Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree, Resisting Arrest, and Obstructing Governmental Administration in the Second Degree. Williams was arraigned in the Town of Tyre Court and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $2,500.00 bail/ $5,000.00 bond. Williams will appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court on August 3, 2017 at 5:30 pm.
